Compactor is a kind of H type Hydraulic Press. It is used to compress drum into 1/5th of its original size. The drum consists of harmful radioactive materials. The size of the drum is Ø860 x 882 height made of mild steel sheet. The main pressing cylinder creates 200tons of load with the working pressure of 200Bar and compresses the drum.

While pressing there should not be any leakage of harmful gases/liquids. The Compactor is making a sealed atmosphere while pressing. With the use of Blower and Damper which is having HEPA Filter, this machine assures safety. Thus this machine provides a secure compression and disposal of nuclear wastes.
